PUSH HR 748 and Right to know the facts bills
From IFRL Daily News :
[quote]
This is a congressional Action Alert from the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC)
in Washington, issued February 11, 2005.

Federal Parental Notification Bill Introduced in U.S. House of Representatives

-- Urge Your Representatives to Cosponsor H.R. 748

WASHINGTON (February 11, 2005) -- All members of the U.S. House of Representatives
should be urged to immediately cosponsor the Child Interstate Abortion Notification
Act (H.R. 748). The bill is a top priority of the National Right to Life Committee
(NRLC).

The Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act (CIANA, pronounced "SEE-anna")
was introduced on February 10, 2005, by Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fl.),
with 105 original cosponsors. You can check the always-current list of cosponsors,
arranged by state, at the Legislative Action Center on the NRLC website, here: http://www.capwiz.com/nrlc/issues/bills/?bill

All pro-life groups and citizens are encouraged to contact U.S. House members to
urge them to cosponsor H.R. 748, or to thank those who have already done so. All
House offices may be reached by telephone through the Capitol Switchboard at 202-225-3121
(when provided with the caller's zip code, the operator will transfer the call to
the appropriate House member's office). The NRLC Legislative Action Center makes
it easy to send appropriate e-mails to any U.S. House member regarding this legislation;
go here (http://www.capwiz.com/nrlc/issues/bills/?bill=6955201) to employ this
useful aid for grassroots lobbying.

GENERAL TALKING POINTS ON THE CHILD INTERSTATE ABORTION NOTIFICATION ACT (CIANA)

Over 30 states have enacted parental notification or parental consent laws. (To
view or download a factsheet on these laws, click here (http://www.nrlc.org/federal/ccpa/index.html).

However, these laws are often circumvented by minors traveling or being transported
to other states that do not have parental notification requirements, often under
pressure from older boyfriends or at the urging of abortion providers. In order
to protect the welfare of minor girls and the rights of parents, Congress has a
duty to regulate this interstate activity.

The CIANA requires any abortionist to notify a parent before performing an abortion
on a minor who is a resident of another state, unless the minor has already received
authorization from a court in her home state, or unless the abortionist is already
required to provide such parental notification by a current law in the state in
which he practices. If the minor asserts that she is the victim of abuse, the abortionist
would notify the appropriate state child abuse agency instead of a parent.

H.R. 748 also incorporates the provisions of the "Child Custody Protection
Act," a bill originally proposed in 1998, under which it would be a federal
offense to transport a minor across state lines for an abortion without fulfilling
the requirements of a parental notification law in effect in the home state.

Parental notification and parental consent laws are supported by overwhelming majorities
of the public -- exceeding 80% in some polls. For a sampling of public opinion
polls on this issue, please click here (http://www.nrlc.org/federal/ccpa/ParentalPolls042904.html).

For additional information on the parental notification issue, visit the NRLC website
page on parental notification here (http://www.nrlc.org/federal/ccpa/index.html).

If you wish to direct others to this Action Alert, it is posted on the Internet
here (http://www.capwiz.com/nrlc/issues/alert/?alertid=6959846&type=CO).

Department at 202-626-8820.

Women's Group Educates State Lawmakers about Abortion-Breast Cancer Link

(CABC) The Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer notes that Georgia and other states
are considering informed consent legislation that would require state health departments
and/or doctors to tell women about the breast cancer risks of abortion.

Three years ago, a widely reported scientific review of 47 studies in 30 countries
reported that breast cancer rates in developed nations could be cut by over 50%
if women would have more children and breastfeed them longer. [1]

Experts agree that increased childbearing, starting before age 24, provides the
best way to prevent breast cancer. Biological evidence shows that a third trimester
process in pregnancy provides the only mechanism for a woman to mature her breast
tissue into cancer-resistant tissue. [2]

Common sense says you can't have more children and breastfeed them if you also abort
your pregnancies.

Experts agree that the woman who chooses to abort has an increased breast cancer
risk in comparison to the woman who carries her pregnancy to term. They disagree
whether the woman who aborts has an increased risk in comparison to the effect of
never having had that pregnancy. A pregnant woman, however, doesn't have the choice
of never having had that pregnancy.

"Would lawmakers deprive a pregnant woman of her right to know about recognized
cancer risks of abortion? asked Karen Malec, president of the coalition."

Several medical groups recognize that abortion raises risk beyond the loss of the
protective effect of childbearing by leaving the woman with more cancer-vulnerable
breast tissue. [3]

Before abortion was legalized in 1973, one in twelve American women developed the
disease in her lifetime. Today, one in seven develops it.

"Hopefully, lawmakers want to reduce female breast cancer rates," declared
Mrs. Malec. "Two medical malpractice lawsuits in the U.S. and two in Australia
have been successfully prosecuted because doctors didn't warn women about the increased
risks of breast cancer and psychological harm. [4,5,6]

"Depriving women of their rights will only cause more women to file - and win
- malpractice lawsuits."

The facts would lead any reasonable person to the right conclusion. We encourage
our supporters in all states to contact their elected officials and other policy-makers
and share their views on this important issue. [end quote]

How a person becomes reprobate.
Scripture tells the root cause of, the damnation of, the progression of depravity, and the end result of homosexuality:

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness, and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness {contempt} because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of Him from the Creation of the World, are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so they are without excuse.

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their foolish imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools; and changed the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man and to birds, and four-footed beasts and creeping things; Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, through the lusts of their own bodies between themselves, to dishonour the own bodies between themselves. Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature, more than The Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

For this cause, God gave them up to vile affections, for event their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature; and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men, working that which is unseemly [improper, not fitting] ; and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet [due them].

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, [forsaken beyond redemption, foreordained to eternal damnation, rejected by God for eternity] to do those things which are not convenient;

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity, whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful.

Who knowing the Judgement of God, that they which do such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

The right to life is the most basic right of all!
There is a lot of debate on the issues of life but not nearly enough. The case of Terri Schiavo,in Florida, and the on-going battle pitting the prolifers against the prodeathers, is proof of that. The fact of the matter is a person must first be alive to need any other rights! A dead person needs nothing. So it cannot be 'health care' when it kills a person, and it cannot be 'mercy' either! There is no mercy in taking the life of another. God said, "thou shalt not kill' in Exodus 20:13, and there is a period after that. Thou shalt not kill period. Individuals should not kill anyone for any reason, and God put into place a punishment intended to deter such crime. From Genesis 9:6, "whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed, for in the image of God made He man."

Flee fornication
"What know ye not that he which is joined to a harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto The Lord is one spirit. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What know ye not, that your body is the Temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you, which ye have of God? and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price*; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your Spirit, which are God's. "
I Corinthians 6:16-20

* the "price" was the blood of Jesus spilled for your sins.

Abortion Bill Introduced in South Dakota Legislature

[quote]PIERRE, South Dakota, February 2, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) ? A bill proposing to make abortions illegal, with the exception of serious health risks to the mother, was put forward Monday in the South Dakota legislature.

The bill, sponsored by Sen. Frank Kloucek, is meant to correct the deficiencies seen in a similar bill introduced last year which was vetoed by Governor Mike Rounds on technical grounds. Rounds said the former bill would open the doors to unrestricted abortion access in the event of a court challenge...Several other related bills were also introduced Monday. Rep. Roger Hunt sponsored a bill that would set up a task force to study the effects of abortion. ...
In addition, Hunt also sponsored a bill mandating that doctors fully disclose to women all the negative repercussions abortion may have, including that abortion kills their child....

Sen. Brock Greenfield introduced a bill requiring notification of parents in the event that abortions were to be committed on their children....
...If the US Supreme Court declares abortions illegal, a final bill sponsored by National Right to Life Committee member Sen. Jay Duenwald, would ban all abortions in the state, mandating a maximum penalty of life in prison for anyone committing abortions.[end quote]

Flawed AIDS Drug Study Exposes NIH Misconduct
Thursday, February 03, 2005
By Jonathan M. Fishbein

[quote]Until recently, I was the Director of the Office of Policy in Clinical Research Operations at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease Division of AIDS. In that capacity, I was responsible for ensuring the integrity of government-funded AIDS drug trials by insisting upon good clinical practice and the rigorous oversight of all AIDS-related field work....
For seven months, I learned of numerous instances of scientific and professional misconduct at DAIDS. I brought some of these to the attention of my supervisor as I am required to do by law. My vigilance was rewarded with a notice of termination and slander against my good name and reputation. Frustrated, I decided to step forward as a whistleblower in the hope that public exposure would bring about the needed change. That has yet to happen. Instead, NIH has worked fervently to suppress my allegations and delegitimize my credibility. They will not succeed.'...

"NIH is broken and needs to be overhauled. Those responsible for suppressing the truth about poor scientific conduct and deceiving the public should themselves be reprimanded and removed from positions of authority. Acts of retaliation by senior managers against employees simply doing their job should be fully and fairly investigated."[end quote] from article, Flawed AIDS Drug Study" Exposes NIH Misconduct

Euthanasia: Who Needs It?by Sharon A. Falkenheimer,

RE an either or question that are polar extremes of each other: [quote]"However, the presentation of only these two extreme alternatives is deeply biased....Posing questions in this way is an old trick that is easily anticipated when only polar alternatives are presented."...
"Regardless of whether euthanasia/PAS is desired by most people or even viewed as moral, it has been legalized in the Netherlands, Belgium, and the U.S. State of Oregon. The irony of the Netherlands being the first nation to legalize the practice is lost on many who are unfamiliar with the history of medical practice in that nation. In the Nazi era, 98% of Dutch physicians refused to conform or participate when ordered by the Germans to become members of its Nazi-led, anti-Semitic medical society and thereby lost their authority to practice medicine. Now it is their medical heirs who are the leading the world in the acceptance and practice of PAS! [end quote] from article Euthanasia: Who Needs It?

Picture Perfect: Prenatal Genetics and the Human Genome Project
by Hal Wallis,

[quote] "...Dr. Dan Brock of the National Institutes of Health suggested that blind and severely disabled children should be aborted for the good of society. Kristol's concerns have also been expressed more recently by Sir Paul Nurse in the United Kingdom.2 His view is that people are at great risk for genetic discrimination as a result of the coming technological changes regarding genetic testing....the decision to carry or abort a pregnancy will increasingly be based on an infant's ability to rise to a predetermined standard of acceptability, a standard that is determined either by the parents or society. The new view of abortion will be characterized as "prenatal euthanasia, carried out for the good of the parents, child, and society"[end quote]...yet another view is possible.

[quote]In his book Dispatches from the Front, Dr. Stanley Hauerwas gives us a better idea of how to look at the disabled.2 He points out that to be "fearfully and wonderfully made" (Ps.139:14) is not to be perfectly made. Dr. Hauerwas suggests that those who are born with genetic defects are reflections of God's imagination. As finite beings, we cannot understand the breadth of God's creative abilities. Could it be that in His accounting, the character and gifts that are a part of the (for example) Down Syndrome persona are especially precious to Him?[end quote]

900 teens explore tolerance;Topics include body image, sexuality, dating between races and faiths
By Jeffrey Leib
Denver Post Staff Writer

[quote]"The setting was a mock trial conducted by the Hate Violence Task Force of the Colorado Lawyers Committee on Saturday at the 12th annual Cherry Creek Diversity Conference.

The event brought 900 students from 82 high schools across Colorado to Cherry Creek High School for a day-long series of workshops on diversity and tolerance.

Workshop topics included beauty, body image and self-worth; interracial and interreligious relationships; understanding Islam; straight but not narrow; challenges and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered; and questioning youth and their allies." from article, 900 teens explore tolerance" [end quote] from article,

NOTE my commentary, (Gloria):
In the article Published: Sunday, January 30, 2005 and header/title read:

900 teens explore tolerance
Topics include body image, sexuality, dating between races and faiths

I think that whole event was a propaganda effort by the homosexual groups using the students to participate in a "mock trial" trying those guilty of "hate crimes" for speaking against homosexuality. That effort and the resultant article were nothing but propaganda in my opinion, because the intent was accomplished through the public schools, and using misleading advertising "body image, sexuality, dating" and then making it a "mock trial". The only purpose of that obvious to me is to chill the First Amendment rights prior to them happening of students by implying that they will have a trial if they oppose homosexuality. Prior restraint of speech and thought and religion is unconstitutional. The fact that lawyers participated in an event focused on sex, and bodies of teenagers to trick them into a debate on homosexuality, shows me just how low the legal profession has fallen. The people including me, who oppose homosexuality as a lifestyle, recognize that it is a sin against God and also a deadly lifestyle. It most certainly should not be part of a brainwashing program through the public schools or the Cherry Creek Mall or the lawyers associations! I think the whole event and the resultant article about it are a misuse of the "news" since public schools events rarely make the newspapers, and a misuse of the force of law to intimidate students. That is against the law in the 14 Amendment if i understand what that Amendment means. The legal system in the US cannot force anyone to think a certain way, and they cannot punish anyone for religious beliefs!

adult stem cells." [LifeSiteNews.com, 2 February]

A survey of Maltese attitudes to abortion has reported that the overwhelming
majority oppose abortion and believe that life begins at conception. Nine
out of 10 Maltese adults surveyed said that the unborn child has human
rights, with 86% opposing abortion and 83.5% stating the life begins at
conception. The majority of those holding these views were women. 82.1% said
that Malta should not legalise abortion even if the whole of Europe does.
However, over a quarter of respondents said that abortion was acceptable to
save a mother's life, 13.4% in cases of rape and 9% in case of disability.

{quote]Addressing life, the President reiterated his commitment to creating a culture of life in America. He made clear that unborn human beings were not for experimentation or spare parts; they are to be protected. I hope that as the administration expands the culture of life, it will educate the American people on the difference between adult and embryonic stem cells and further explain the importance of funding adult stem cell research, which has yielded more than 50 successful medical treatments.[end quote]

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Lives from the Southern Baptist Press,(BP news)

[quote]"The New York Times is reporting the effect sonogram pictures are having on women in crisis pregnancies. The more information women receive about the life within them, the less likely they are to choose an abortion. In one survey, 90 percent of women who were initially leaning toward an abortion chose life after seeing their child's ultrasound. This would seem to be a victory for both sides in the abortion debate. Yet crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs) that provide free access to sonograms are an anathema to "pro-choicers." CPCs are sometimes the target of pro-abortion advocates, suffering vandalism for providing basic health information to an expectant mother in a difficult situation. It is time for the veil of deceit to be pulled back from the "pro-choice" movement. They simply are not interested in choice; they are interested in abortions. I would like to applaud those who have sacrificed to provide greater access to the important technology of ultrasound equipment. The images these machines provide literally save lives." [end quote]

[quote] from LifeNews:Kansas Senator Wants to Limit Late-Term Abortions After Woman Dies

by Steven Ertelt

February 2, 2005

Topeka, KS (LifeNews.com) -- Following the death of a woman at a late-term abortion facility in Wichita, a Kansas state Senator has proposed legislation that would restrict performing late-term abortions to hospitals and surgical centers.

State Senator Phil Journey's bill would mandate that abortions performed at 15 weeks into pregnancy not be done at an abortion business, like that of Wichita late-term abortion practitioner George Tiller, because of safety concerns...

Last month, a woman rushed to the hospital after a botched abortion at Tiller's late-term abortion facility died.

According to a local pro-life group, the woman arrived at the hospital with "severe hemorrhaging" and died "a few days later" from undetermined causes the source said "are very likely to be the result of a botched abortion."...

Later, [ Marguerite, a Tiller employee] Reed told 911 operators the woman suffered from "pain above the belly button." Reed said the woman was awake and alert and did not suffer from chest pain.[end quote]

Arizona Lawmakers Introduce Bills Prohibiting on All Human Cloning
by Steven Ertelt

February 2, 2005

Phoenix, AZ (LifeNews.com) -- Two lawmakers have introduced three bills that would restrict all forms of human cloning in Arizona. One would prohibit the use of public fund son the grisly practice, another would ban all forms of human cloning and a third would amend the constitution to prohibit all human cloning.

"The `Brave New World' that Huxley proposed is on us in many ways," Rep. Bob Stump told the Arizona Capitol Times. "For the state to sanction [human] cloning would not be good."

Stump, a Republican, is the sponsor of H2221, the bill banning taxpayer funding of human cloning.

Meanwhile, Rep. Chuck Gray, another Republican, filed the dual bans on human cloning: H2324, which bans the practice through statute, and HCR2025, the constitutional amendment.

Gray's amendment would allow voters to ban all forms of human cloning by approving an amendment that would appear on the 2006 ballot.[end quote] see www.azrtl.org for more info.

Arkansas House Panel Approves Parental Consent on Abortion Measure

by Steven Ertelt
LifeNews.com Editor
February 2, 2005

Little Rock, AR (LifeNews.com) -- Under legislation approved by a House panel Tuesday, teenagers would need consent from a parent or legal guardian prior to having an abortion. The measure strengthens the state's parental notification law and is an attempt to further reduce the number of teen abortions.

The House Public Health, Welfare and Labor Committee approved Rep. Jeremy Hutchinson's bill on a voice vote with only one member dissenting.

House Bill 1033 now heads to the full House for consideration and will then move on to the state Senate if approved.

Hutchinson said such laws approve constitutional muster and have been validated by the Supreme Court.

"This is a common sense bill," Hutchinson said, according to an Arkansas News report, adding that teenagers need parental permission for a number of other requests such as field trips and other medical services....

The parent or guardian must provide identification and the signature must either be notarized or the consent form must be signed in the presence of the abortion practitioner. The goal is to ensure that abortion advocates do not use other adults to provide fake signatures authorizing abortions.

QuickStats: Pregnancy, Birth, and Abortion Rates* for Teenagers Aged 15--17 Years --- United States, 1976--2003 [quote]
Since 1990, pregnancy rates have declined substantially for teenagers aged 15--17 years. From 1990 to 2000, the pregnancy rate decreased 33%, from 80.3 per 1,000 females to 53.5, a record low. The birth rate declined 42%, from its peak at 38.6 in 1991 to 22.4 in 2003. The induced abortion rate peaked in 1983 at 30.7 and decreased by more than half to 14.5 by 2000.

SEIFFE: George Bush: The First Feminist President

Thursday, February 03, 2005

By Ralf Sieffe

According to Ralf Seiffe, noted radical feminist Gloria Steinem (pictured) should love President George W. Bush, why doesn't she?
OPINION - Two events in the past couple of weeks prove George Bush to be the world's most effective feminist. The National Organization for Women won't be raising a statue anytime soon but nevertheless, their cause may be best served, in the broadest sense, by the president's approach.

The first reminder occurred at one of those interesting symposia so popular in academia. The pointy heads held one such meeting recently titled "Diversifying the Science and Engineering Workforce: Women, Underrepresented Minorities and their S. and E.
Organizers invited Harvard President Larry Summers to be provocative by wishing the attendees well with a few remarks. They assumed, no doubt, that the former Treasury Secretary would stay within the bounds of academic orthodoxy and political correctness.

Instead, he surprised the 50 attendees with the audacious suggestion that there were might be some fundamental differences between men and women's mental processes.

... scholars might find that the now-penitent Larry Summers had a point. They might find that recognizing our "innate" differences and structuring society to exploit them might provide much bigger and more valuable payback than breaking glass ceilings in law firms or counting houses. They would have to face up to the fact that promising business women increasingly choosing to stay at home to nurture their children and explain why...Careers"...

A better use of that $25 million might be to find out how we can nurture our children to instill the interest and ability to compete internationally in hard subjects like math and science. Americans face a declining living standard because we aren't producing enough scientists---of either sex...Among its purposes was to investigate the disparity between the sexes in the number of tenured professorships in science and engineering....

The second event that demonstrates why George Bush should expect a place in NOW's pantheon are events in the Middle East.

The vast vision he outlined at the Inauguration is a reflection of the man and it follows some remarkable accomplishments in Afghanistan and Iraq of interest to women. His faith in democracy translates into self-determination that has changed women's status from property to partner. By insisting that women make up 33% of these new legislatures, the president has made Iraqi and Afghan women more powerful in their legislatures than they have ever been in ours

GUEST OPINION: Outlaw Journalistic Bribery

Thursday, February 03, 2005

- David McGrath

We all know the name of the crime that involves offering money to, say, a policeman, a judge, a congressman, or a customs official in order to sway or influence their decisions. So why don't we also criminalize as bribery, the act of giving money to a journalist for the same reason?...Surely, the most grievous offense was that the columnist-for-hire episodes amounted to a violation of the First Amendment's provision for freedom of the press.

Think about it. A free press provides American citizens with the information and truth they require to function as a democracy. So the purchase of advertising and rhetorical cheerleading from Armstrong and Gallagher, impersonating as newspersons, effectively deprived the public of that right.
So when we consider that the 4th estate, acting as the most important check and balance on governmental mistakes, wrongdoing, or excess, is the ultimate guardian of democracy, it may be time to throw the book at those who would compromise its integrity and effectiveness.[end quote]

Billboards, Counselors and Ex-gays: Let it Shine

Warren Throckmorton, PhD
February 3, 2005

[quote]
"...a major mental health organization, the American Counseling Association recently went on record to defend the right of people to determine whether or not they should seek change [from homsexual behaviour]. Based in Alexandria, VA, the ACA along with its divisions represents the interests of professionals ranging from school to career counselors.

In reply to a question from Rev. D. L. Foster of Atlanta GA, Larry T. Freeman, MA, LPC, Manager, Ethics and Professional Standards for the ACA affirmed a client's right to self-determination as it relates to seeking counseling to change sexual identity. Pastor Foster asked the ACA in a letter: "I am interested to know if the ACA's Code of Ethics A.2.B is applicable to clients who seek to change their sexual orientation from homosexual to heterosexual."

Mr. Freeman's verbatim response is as follows:

"In response to your inquiry below regarding whether Section A.2. Respecting Diversity. b. Respecting Differences; is applicable to clients who seek to change their sexual orientation. Yes, this code applies to any one who feels or perceives themselves as struggling with an issue that impacts negatively the quality and comfort of their daily life. The key word here is client, it is the client that approaches the counselor and gives consent to be treated. If one's sexual orientation is not an issue to them, it should not be an issue for the counselor. However, if it is, then the person(s) should have the freedom of choice to seek appropriate treatment for it; what ever the issue(s) may be. If what the client is experiencing is not in the training or education of the counselor a referral is suggested to the client, so they can receive the proper treatment that meets their counseling needs." FIRST-PERSON: Putting the squeeze on SpongeBob
Thursday, Feb 3, 2005
By Bill Maier
Contrary to the media spin, Dobson didn't attack the Sponge. Instead, he warned that SpongeBob, Barney, Winnie the Pooh, and dozens of other popular children's characters may soon be used (presumably against their will) to promote the normalization of homosexuality in America's public schools.

The characters are featured in a video and educational curriculum that is being distributed to 61,000 schools across the country by the "We Are Family Foundation." Reportedly the curriculum and its accompanying teachers' guide will employ SpongeBob and his pals to encourage young children to accept homosexual behavior under the guise of promoting "tolerance."

Thank God for La Quinta Inns & Rep Matt Bartle.
The La Quinta Inn hotel chain has ended a commercial arrangement between one of its hotels and an abortion facility. The Wichita La Quinta Inn in the past, offered discounts to women arriving for late-term abortions at George Tiller's abortion facility and also rented rooms to Tiller's staff so that they could provide monitoring and follow-up after abortions had been carried out. La Quinta Inn Corporate office investigated and Tiller has been informed that he may not use the hotel chain's name inliterature or on his website. [ abstracted from Lifenews.com, 1 February]

According to the International Rescue Committee, 3.8 million people have died in the Democratic Republic of Congo since the war started in August, 1998, and there are 31,000 more deaths monthly. Per alertnet of Reuters. Please pray that the killing will end!!

Missouri Lawmakers held their first discussions to ban all forms of human cloning. The Bill is sponsored by Rep Matt Bartle and is supported by Missouri Right to Life. Pam Fichter of the Missouri Right to Life said, "we are very aware that the biotech people are out there, and they are trying to cloud the issue and distort the language of the issue."

According to the Equal Opportunity Commission, 30,000 women have been discriminated against or had to leave their jobs because of being pregnant. First reported in the BBC news Feb 2, and again in the SPUC news, Feb 2,2005. It seems instead of equalizing the playing field abortion has created a discriminatory standard that if a woman wants to advance in her career, she must be willing to abort. Is that how you read this news? The easy availability of abortion has resulted in women who are pregnant or want to be pregnant not being considered hireable. That is another documented bad outcome of the liberal abortion laws.

The Heidi Group, a Christian, evangelical, not for profit organization found that 90% of women who visited religiously run pregnancy centers decided to continue their pregnancies when they saw their babies on ultrasound. There was an article in the New York Times on Feb 2, 2005 about this topic. The Southern Baptist Convention and the Focus on the Family groups are raising money to put ultrasound equipment in every pregnancy center.

I quote from a previous article about this project:
"Psalm 139 Project shows mothers why they shouldn't abort" by Dwayne Hastings & Erin Curry, written
June 14, 2004: [quote]

INDIANAPOLIS (BP)--Of all the things Southern Baptists were expecting to see on the exhibit floor of the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting, an unborn baby was probably not on their list.

Yet visitors at the Psalm 139 Project booth in the SBC exhibit hall are able to view images of an ultrasound being conducted live. To promote the project's effort to provide ultrasound equipment to eligible pregnancy care centers, sonographers are conducting ultrasound examinations on pregnant women in the booth, with the images broadcast on a large video screen.

The images of the woman's unborn baby are accompanied by the sonographer's commentary. The exam itself is conducted behind a curtain within the exhibit. In fact, a woman discovered in the booth June 14 that she is expecting two babies instead of one. A sonogram done on the exhibit floor showed identical twins holding hands inside her womb.

The Psalm 139 Project, administered by the SBC's Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, seeks to create an awareness of the value of ultrasound technology in crisis pregnancy situations and to provide a way for individuals to give to a fund that places ultrasound machines in qualified pregnancy care centers.

"If wombs had windows, people would be much more reticent to abort babies because they would be forced to confront the evident humanity of the baby from very early gestation onward," ERLC President Richard Land said, noting sonograms provide a "window into the womb."

"Pregnant mothers who see their babies on sonograms are going to be far more likely to carry their baby to term," Land added. "Ultrasound machines save babies' lives." [end quote]

If you would like to donate to the ultrasound project either contact the Southern Baptists or Focus on the Family or just donate it directly to the pregnancy center in your community.

Buffalo Right to Life opposes Hillary Clinton
Stasia Zoladz Vogel, of the Buffalo Right to Life said "allowing Clinton to speak at a Catholic College is "like taking a member of the Ku Klux Klan to address foreign trade and saying 'well, he's addressing foreign trade so it doesn't matter."

She is right. HIllary is killory! She has consistently voted against life for the past ten years in every way and in every vote, so for her now to pretend she has suddenly "got religion" just makes a mockery out of all who do have the genuine love of God in their hearts, and the love of the human race also. Please do not be deceived by Hillary Clinton. She is a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Study proves childbirth safer than abortion.
A government study conducted by statistical analysis unit of Finland's National Research and Development Center for Welfare and Health, examined the death records of all the women in the child-bearing years 19-49, for the years 1987-1994, a total of 9,129 women. They discovered that women who aborted in the year prior to death were 60% more likely to die from natural causes, seven times more likely to die from suicide, four times more likely to die from injuries sustained in an accident, and fourteen times more likely to die from homicide within a year after abortion, than the women who gave birth to a live baby.

You can see the study at :
www.afterabortion.org/PAR/V8/n2/finland.html/

Also, the site for Elliott Institute, www.afterabortion.org/ has a "research" section that lists the Detrimental Effects of Abortion, an extensive bibliography.

Legal way to defeat abortion and end the Holocaust!
According to the Life News today, a 19 yr old woman has won a judgement againt Portland Oregon's All Women "health care" abortion clinic for not informing her of the link between breast cancer and abortion, before her abortion in May, 2001. She had indicated on her medical history intake form that she had a family history of breast cancer. That news along with the news that there is a substantial elevation of risk of breast cancer in those women who abort, would have been reason enough for any bona-fide medical doctor not to perform the surgery to "terminate" her baby. The link called the abc link has been documented since 1994. Jonathan Clark her attorney said the abortion clinic settled out of court because they could not defend their actions. The Judge signed the settlement agreement on January 24, 2005.

This is really good news, because other lawyers will figure out that there are millions of similar cases; and fortunes to be made by shifting the money from ill-gotten gains [from the blood of the innocents] to their own hands. ABortion will end! Praise God!

Whosoever will call upon the name
"And it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call upon the name of The Lord shall be saved."Acts 3:21

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins;and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as The Lord our God shall call." WELCOME:We must all appear before the Judgement
"For we must all appear before the Judgement Seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body; according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." II Corinthians 5:10 The purpose of this blog and all my efforts is to help people live and make good decisions so that when they appear before the Judgement Seat of Christ, they will have goodness in their report.
